*1917* is a damn good movie with a warm bliss of mesmerising music and the wistful dose of colourful imageries (but never makes you feel disgusted). The performance are powerful while you are at your feet walking with characters; yes, long takes with lots of panning and the camera movement. Adding to it, the entire film looks like a single shot with only one visible cut. Despite all atrocities shown in the film, the story has managed to find plenty of hopeful moments.
Watch it now in theatre to understand and realise movie watching experience.
