Quick Review: Ginny weds Sunny and Serious Men

Ginny Weds Sunny

Genre: Romance, Comedy (On Netflix)

Ginny Weds Sunny is a below-average film with some feel-good Bollywood festivities. Even if you love songs and dances with the colourful background and rich-people production, it may feel like dragged and unnecessarily stretched.

Serious Men

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Social Commentary (On Netflix)

Serious Men deals with the subject of casteism and its effect on the general people and their mentality. The film’s comical and late-satirical approach produce the charm and sensibility towards the topic. The only drawback is that it doesn’t conclude the dark world (which is a reality) in a way that could show us a solution like Article 15 has done (although, there is no comparison in stories).

I expect that conclusion because of the director Sudhir Mishra and his reputation in the industry as a brilliant and non-traditional filmmaker.

Despite that, the film is highly recommended.
